Happy Thanksgiving, Mamas! I’m here again, slowly easing back into 10MM creation. I’ve not been gone because I don’t love 10 Minute Mama enough, but because I do love it and want to do it right. I’ve had a month where I was thrown a big curveball and most things in my daily routine came to a screeching halt. My brother’s wife – just-turned 38 years old – died suddenly on November 4th. Heartbreak for her and for my brother and the kids they left behind, as well as the rush of planning to get to them and to help in the ways I could, took priority. While I did still try to get in daily exercise (I hope and expect you did too!!), I didn’t feel like it was the right time for me to be creating new content or sending emails that couldn’t be a source of positive encouragement. Today’s 10 Minute Mama talks through a bit of the mindset work that is required to keep going, even when we don’t feel like it, when we’ve broken our good habits and find ourselves in a funk. After you listen, you’ll understand more of why this work is so important to me. I do this work for my sake, for your sake, for our families and our friends. It’s not just about exercising to check one more thing off our list. It’s about enjoying every moment of the gift we have in our lives – by feeling well, by being present and by connecting with your inner strengths and your outer support systems. Being Mindful and Connect with You | Walking Meditation with 10 Minute Mama Good morning! Today we’re going to take our time together to move and meditate – we’ll call it a Walking Meditation. If you’re able to do this outside, it’ll be even mo’ better. As we walk along together, we’ll have a few different questions to ponder. During this time, try to stay present. Feel your footfalls on the ground, feel your breath. Feel the air around you and the warmth or the coolness. Most of all, just enjoy your time and your freedom to let your mind wander.
